The CRL DCD Series Electro-Formed Diamond Drill has a thin-wall, with a 1/2 inch (12.7 millimeter) deep multi-layer of diamonds and bonding matrix. This drill is designed for high speed, high production drilling and produces outstanding results when exacting conditions are met. Due to the fragile nature of this type of drill, it should be used only in a precision machine, never allowing too much pressure to be applied. It is important to handle this type of diamond drill with care and use on flat surfaces only. The CRL DCD Series Drill features an extra long 1-3/8 inch (35 millimeters) by 3/8 inch (9.5 millimeter) diameter shank for a positive grip on the drill.

Additional Product Information:
Sharpening or "dressing" of this drill before each use will substantially increase its cutting capabilities and minimize "glazing" or dulling of the bit. A Dressing Stone is a necessity when working with an Electro-Formed Diamond Drill.
